Title: double spacing in mail I compose

Every email I compose (or reply to, or forward) gets added spaces between the lines, and the lines are hard wrapped. Is this a setting I can change?

I'm composing in plain text, running RC on a Linux server, and writing the emails on osX and winXP 32.
