Title: Roundcube mails goes to spam in Gmail
Post by: jblenda on January 12, 2009, 12:55:44 PM
Hi, I set up roundcube and works great, but all the mails I send to gmail goes to the spam folder. I've tried using smtp and phpmail function to send mails but the result is the same. When I send mails from this account through my computer's mail client the messages get to the inbox properly, so I believe there is some problem associated with the way roundcube format the header's mail or something. I really don't know much about programming or server configuration, I would appreciate any help on this issue.

Thank you.
Sorry for my bad english.

Probably doesn't have anything to do with roundcube. Have you been able to send email from your server with a different setup?

Maybe your right, all the emails I send from my server with other webmail clients arrive to gmail's spam folder too.

You need at least a SPF record in your DNS to relay to Gmail. In addition Gmail blocks some IP-ranges which are not used by known ISP's. Best way to relay to Gmail, hotmail, etc. is to use a "smart server" (f.e. forwarding relay of your ISP).

I use a roundcube Client to send email to hotmail, yahoo, google and my Email's are detected like a SPAM but if i use a Outlook or thunderbird like a clients my email's are acepted without any problems.

I suspect the problem is in the php configuration but I cant find information about this

I use HmailServer
RoundCube 0.4.2
PHP Version 5.2.0
