Title: new iis questions...
Post by: carboncow on May 29, 2009, 01:33:54 AM
I tried this on IIS 5 before and failed. Got a new fresh install of IIS 6.0 (win 2003 server R2) with a working PHP5.x and latest build of mySQL on port 3307 (not 3306).

During the install I'm getting a concern with MDB2 Error: Connect Failed. See screenshot here: Skitch.com > carboncow > iis ( 10.0.0.126 ) (http://skitch.com/carboncow/b1n1j/iis-10.0.0.126)

Now I'm usually really good with php, mysql and database connections but cannot figure this one out to save my life. Thought I had this talking to the Db before with IIS 5 but had other issues.

What is MDB2 about and is this the concern (a missing or misconfigured option for php or mysql) or do you think I'm just brainfarting on username/password/port even knowing I've check my work half dozen times.

I connect just fine via mysqladmin and checked the php.ini to make sure port 3307 is default rather then 3306.

Ideas? Who is the resident expert around here on roundcube and IIS 6 (especially if you are using hmailserver)

thank you for your time and consideration.
