Title: cPanel Hijack?
Post by: sheep40987 on August 03, 2009, 05:40:50 AM
I installed RoundCube but whenever I navigate to it i'm redirected to the Cpanel web mail control panel. I also noticed that the database I created for it isn't being used.

So for some reason cPanel has hijacked my installation. My webhost hasn't got a clue what i'm talking about. Do you?

Edit: What's wrong with this forum? The thread list is backwards and despite it saying there's hundreds of threads and posts in each forum there isn't actually anything.

Try installing to something other than the /webmail folder like /rcmail or /roundcube.

And the database problem is because you're being redirected to the cPanel install.

Hopefully you didn't use the same database name that cPanel did.  If so then you'll want to create it again and use a different name else when cPanel updates it will overwrite it.

You were spot on. Renaming the directory worked.
