Title: Umlauts (ä,ö,ü,ß) in Display Name
Post by: Flashrider on September 12, 2006, 07:26:16 PM
When I send a mail with roundcube a use umlauts in display name.
The recipient didn't see the display name correctly.
It looks like this:

  ?UTF-8?Q?Katrin=20K=C3=BChne=20 ,
   [email protected]

If I don't use umlauts the name is displayed correctly.
Thanks for your help.

Hmm, I have noticed that if I choose a Display Name with special characters like ÃÃ,Â¥ ÃÃ,¤ ÃÃ,¶ the mail won't be sent at all. It just "times out".
If I choose a Display Name without any special characters the mail is sent away fine.  :-\

Same probeme here. If I reply to some one called "RenÃÃ,©", in the "To:" field it reads "RenÃÆÂ'ÃÂ,Ã,©". Seems that the guy sent me an e-mail in ISO-8859-1 and I am reply using UTF-8. Everything should be converted into UTF-8 I think :D
