Title: Multiple address books, more fields per contact
Post by: honk on November 04, 2009, 01:58:18 PM
Hi!
I have some questions about the address book.

1. Is there a plugin which allows the use of multiple address books? It would be nice to have not all contacts in only one address book.

2. There are only few fields for contact data. For instance this allows only one email address per contact and no further address data.  Is there a plugin which allows to enter more data?

3. How can I change the order of the address book? It's always orderd by the first field ("Angezeigter Name" in german translation).

Thanks!

Honk

AFAIK there is no plugin. But there is a patch:

RoundCube Mailing Lists (http://lists.roundcube.net/mail-archive/dev/2009-10/0000006.html)

Thanks, this looks quite good.

Do you use this patch (or some previous version) in your online demo?
I can see that there a several fields including one for further addresses.

So, how do you get these additional fields in your online demo?
Is it a plugin or a patch which has not already been published? I'm just curious and would like to test it.

Which online demo do you mean?
... mail4us.net or mail4us.net/dev ...
If you mean mail4us.net, yes there are additional fields, but I won't port this old plugin
to RoundCube 0.3 branche.

hi,

i have edited all the necessary files with the new code as described in the file (extended_address_boo.diff) and put the changed files together. (see the attached zip-file).
you need to copy all the files, don't forget a backup, and import the new fields in your database using the sql-update-files.
please read the INSTALL file for details.

i only added the localization files for de_DE, en_GB and en_US. it should be easy to add other languages.

i appreciate any comments and hints and hope to make some of you happy.

kind regards
max
Title: tested, but missing things (export)
Post by: lolopoub on December 22, 2009, 04:13:37 AM
Hi,

i ve made a french translation file for your patch (i will send it in a future post)

but when i try to export in vcf, a lot of fields are missing (and even incorrect )

-the work phone number has the fax value!
-missing all phones numbers (work/home/cell)
-missing title/company/work address/home address/note

by the way is it possible to make a csv import/export? (if not, tell me hot to program it nicely,i mean in the respect of your coding, and i ll try to do it)
