Title: Session Invalid or Expired
Post by: rbarara on November 14, 2009, 09:15:58 PM
Downloaded 0.3 RoundCube and installed it successfully on my website. I am able to login but am kicked out of the session within a few seconds - max 1 minute. I have tried to tweak with session max life time values - no impact on the session timeout or expiry problem.

Has any one else faced the same issue ?

Below is the warning that I see in the errors log:

[14-Nov-2009 15:04:20] PHP Warning:  fgets() [function.fgets]: SSL: Connection reset by peer in //roundcube/program/lib/imap.inc on line 623

Additionally I see the following error sometimes on when login fails :

[14-Nov-2009 15:04:20 -0500]: IMAP Error: Empty startup greeting (ssl://pop.:993) (GET /roundcube/?_task=mail&_action=preview&_uid=287&_mbox=INBOX&_framed=1)

The Empty startup greeting was fixed in RoundCube 0.3.1, are you running another email client at the same time as RoundCube?

I am not running another email client at the same time. Although - SquirrelMail is provided as default client by my ISP. Could that cause an issue just by being there ( I mean even if I am not using it)?

what about the "Connection Reset by peer" in imap.inc line 623

I guess you can try to disable session expiration. (comment out $rcmail_config['session_lifetime'] or set it to " '')

I also had this issue, and found a way to fix it, see:
#1486343 (Random Session Logouts) ? Roundcube Webmail (http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1486343)

This might not be the best way, but it does the trick.
