Round doesn't support opening emails in a new window, you have to do some JavaScript modification to get that to work.

You are able to open the message in a new window from the preview pane.
Enable the preview pane (Personal settings > Mailbox view > Show preview pane), then you'll need to click the red icon at the end of the subject line, which will open the message in a new window.
