Title: Q: Roundcube and Yahoo Hosting
Post by: iosoft on February 08, 2010, 02:37:15 AM
Dear Friend,

I am 1st time user of both Roundcube and Yahoo Hosting.

There is a small problem with user mail a/c with Yahoo Hosting.
When we create a custom mail a/c ([email protected]), Yahoo Hosting asks for his Yahoo email a/c. Then, Yahoo actually merges this two a/c together.
In sort, if a user don't have any existing Yahoo a/c he will not able to get/handle his  custom mail a/c.
(This is the limitation that I am facing with India's version of Yahoo Hosting)

My Question -
Can I use Roundcube to solve this problem ?

I want dual solution -

RoundCube can login to any IMAP server, if they are giving you IMAP access then you can use RoundCube.

No, I don't think they support IMAP.

Please have a look here -
Business Emails | Free Business Email ID's - Yahoo! India Small Business (http://in.business.yahoo.com/business-email/)
and

Thanks for your help and guide.

I don't see any support for IMAP, RoundCube only works with IMAP, I'd recommend using Google apps Sign up for Google Apps (http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new) instead as they provide IMAP.
