First, let me say that RoundCube is a very impressive piece of work, and that I happily ditched SquirrelMail after trying RC. Still, a lot remains to be done, and so we've put together a kind of wish-list with a few roundcube-using colleagues. We haven't checked the latest snapshot, so some of these points might already be addressed.
The essentials : raw usability- threaded message list
- jump to page number X in message list
- sort message by read/unread status
- EDIT: allow attachment download, either through a button or via a direct link, instead of linking to a page (right now, I can't save a pdf document without opening it, for instance)
Not-so-essential : usability improvements- suppress attachment from a mail (right now, we can add one but not suppress it)
- allow expansion of full email headers in email pane
- empty trash button on main pane
- allow resizing of mail directory list pane
- offer the traditional 3-pane interface with the current selected mail's content
- mail search
New functionalities (in the long run)- Mail filtering rules
- GPG integration
- LDAP support
I want to second this.
Michael
Great points.
I like this ideas i second or forth them
Mail Filtering or Rules is a big one.
Quotemail search
Implemented..... just not refined ;)
QuoteLDAP support
Semi-supported.... people have used it before ;)
Quoteoffer the traditional 3-pane interface with the current selected mail's content
Hopefully this will become a skin option. If the "preview" section is there, it's populated, if not, it's not populated.
Other than those few, good list....
nice list - like to see this done, too
The Preview pane is essentially done and I believe a patch for SVN 361 is available for it. This all happened within the last two weeks, so if you want it that much, have a read in the Dev mailing list archives.
