Title: how does roundcube sort dates?
Post by: jody on June 30, 2010, 03:14:13 AM
Hi
I would like to know how Roundcube sorts dates -
i can make no sense of it. I usually use a sorting
which puts last mails on the top.
In the Inbox this works correctly, but when the mails
are moved to a folder, strange things happen. Example
('Today' is Wednesday, 30th of June):

  Tue 19:15
  Today 08:36
  Tue 21:42
  12.05.2010 14:49
  16.04.2010 09:57
  18.04.2010 21:41
  13.04.2010 17:24

(i.e. mixing of 'Tue' and 'Today', 16th of April appears before 18th of April)
This strange ordering is stable - if i press on the 'Date' tab twice,
it reappears the same way.

Can anybody explain?

Thank you
  Jody

RoundCube doesn't sort emails it asks the mail server to do it, so most likely its a problem with your mail server. Try using the SVN and see if it works.

Try unticking 'Use message index for sorting by date' in the RC settings, this should solve your problem.
