Title: run roundcube in the background of website
Post by: nebmo88 on August 05, 2010, 01:38:05 PM
Hi,

I would like to know how to make roundcube RUN in the background.

An example of what I mean is if you get an email, a message will popup saying "New Email", then it disappears (just like the messages when you logout and it says 'session terminated... good bye')

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you.

I think it could be done, you may want to take a look at the webmail_notifier myroundcube - Project Hosting on Google Code (http://code.google.com/p/myroundcube/) I think it could be modified to do it.

Simply use an open webbrowser windows.
From time to time rc polls the webserver automatically.

I use firefox and it notice me if the rc page has changed,
meaning got new mail(s)...

Rgds.
