I have set up roundcube for someone and they were given a password and then they changed the password to a new one. when they go to log in, they say they can log in under any password he types in. I have tried this and the email works fine for me and will not let me log in under any password. so he has cleared his cache cookies etc and is still having the same issue. any help with this would be greatly appreciated. he is using safari browser.
You would need a copy of the imap log when the user login with both of the passwords to diagnose the problem further.
how do I get this log? what is strange is that I have tried this with other computers to and I cannot log in with just any password. It seems that only he can. He says that he first has to log in with his real password, then log out, then log back in with any password and he gets in.
do you think his safari browser is remembering his correct password even if he types it wrong? I have never used safari browser
he emailed me and figured out he needed to log out before trying another one of his email accounts. :confused:
