Title: SMTP Authentification failed (250)
Post by: quwax on April 23, 2011, 05:17:03 AM
Hello,
currently I can read mails, but I can't send them and I get the above error.
installed is:
Mac OS 10.6.7 Server with postfix for smtp and dovecot for imap.
Roundcube 0.5.2
php 5.3.6
mySQL 5.5.11

what I see in my logs is: CRAM-MD5 authentication succeeded
and nothing else
in the weblog I can see that only the function compose is called and then I get the date() warning.

Of course I seached for the problem and tried different things, like leaving the smtp user empty instead of %u plus %p. But none of this works (my Server actually requires authentification).
Any idea?
thanks

Title: Solved

$rcmail_config['smtp_server'] = 'tls://localhost';
was the solution :-)

I was wondering, because it was working before (same host as imap). The problem appeared after installing the current version.
The reason could be also the last updates from Apple.
Anyway it works now, happy eastern :-)
