in the past week, Ive installed roundcube ver. 0.5.2 on a ubuntu server. 10.10
Then i've unpacked the sw and done some settings on permission and owner.
chown -R root:root /roundcube
cd /roundcube
chown -R www-data:www-data logs temp (www-data is the apache2 user)
Permission on directory /roundcube and subdirectory are 0755
Webmail is working fine, but i've doubt about the permissions/owner i've to set to the directory to be in the safe side.
I've protected some directory with the file .htaccess (under config, bin, SQL)
but other directory like program, plugins and skins cannot be protected in the same way, else webmail content get defaced.
Is here somebody that can tell me what are the correct/best permissions and owner for the roundcube directory/subdirectory/files ?
