Title: Bug or feature ?
Post by: Giri on September 15, 2011, 03:55:49 PM
Hello Specialists

I currently struggling with a strange behavior of Webmail on my Mac Lion Server.

The Mail server (IMAP, sending, receiving) is fine so far.

I now get the behavior, that webmail is working fine if I log in from the "internal" LAN network (access to: http:///webmail/).

If I try to login via Internet (access to: http:///webmail/) - then I get the login mask as usual, but after enter the credentials, the is showing me a "failed to communicate to IMAP server".

Questions:
- Any tip or explanation for this difference ?
- How can I troubleshoot the communication between roundcube and the IMAP server ?
- Bug or feature ?

I don't get the difference..... ;-(

Many thanks
Daniel

I'm no Mac Server expert but it sounds like a firewall problem, that would be a good place to start looking.
