I've seen talk about this kind of feature, but I have yet to see it. Is there any news in the grapevine about such a feature being rolled out?

What "Conversation Mode" are you talking about, do you mean threading (which is already in RC) or do you mean like full Gmail style Conversation strings?

I mean like Gmail conversations.

Its not something that can be done easily with IMAP because the messages are in different folders, I wouldn't expect to see it any time soon if at all.
