Title: time to upgrade to 0.8RC ?
Post by: tparvais on June 27, 2012, 11:01:07 AM
Hello

I'm still running RC 0.7.

I wonder If I can install the last Beta RC 0.8 ?

or should I wait for the official 0.8 release ? When is this foreseen ?

Thank you

Thomas

There are still some bugs in that last 0.8RC release so I wouldn't recommend using it in a production environment, but if its just for a personal email accounts and you don't mind a couple of bugs then go right ahead.

Any ideas how close we are to release?  I've been playing around with 0.8-git for a while now and so far so good.

There are still changes being made to the new skin so not for a little while. No date has been set yet.

So the backend is pretty stable?

I think so, I haven't run into any problems with it.

0.8 RC works well in my testing. What issues with the new skin are outstanding?

Nothing to major that I know, there isn't to many tickets left in the tracker for 0.8 and some of them maybe pushed back. http://trac.roundcube.net/query?status=assigned&status=new&status=reopened&group=status&milestone=0.8-stable
