Possibility to edit any message?

I regularly use my mail to handle my tasks and projects.

One thing that is really handy is to be able to edit messages.

Currently you can only do this in the drafts folder, so it requires moving a message to the drafts, editing it and moving it back.

Is there any way to enable editing messages in any folder?

(Also, i don't mean "edit as new", I want to be able to edit the existing in-place)
