Calendar Plus not sharing

Has anyone else tried sharing a calendar between users?  I have roundcube7 and this worked fine, but last week updated to roundcube8 and then bought the myroundcube plugin for calendar_plus (as the sharing feature was kindly removed from the latest version). Now I can't share any calendars at all. OK I've got a nice new interface (larry  ) but having paid for the plus part, feel a little let down. 

I've checked the logs and it seems there is an issue in the coding somewhere...
SELECT * FROM '' \r\n WHERE 'user_id'=?
appears all the time when users add the shared feeds.

If anyone finds the solution, post it here as myroundcube are a joke!
