Another spell checker issue

The spell checker works fine and finds the mis-spelled words just fine. the issue is when you click on them and have it correct two things happen: you cannot edit your message anymore (you have to send it as-is) and also the mis-spelled words are not fixed when received by the recipient (it is still the original message). is there a fix for this? i am using RC .1beta2.2. Thanks!
