how do I move the attachments window across when composing new message?

I can't properly edit the emails i'm writing because the window is obscured by the attachments window. It should be the easiest thing in the world to simply push the attachments window aside, but try as I might, I cannot do it. So I end up with the right hand quarter of the compose window covered by an often empty attachments window. It's infuriating. Im using a 10 inch Ipad. There must be an easy fix here, surely? It is the only email software I have ever used to five me this problem. Please help! Thank you.
