Could anybody confirm whether the "read return receipt" function is working in RC2.

They appear to work when read by a client (tested with outlook) but I do not think any webmail applications support them (tested with gmail, hotmail, and roundcube) but this is due to a limitation of webmail I am sure.

Hello,

I put in the same question in the user list. Thomas has replied that this feature has been enabled in the send portion of RC, but not while opening a message in RC for which receipt has been requested.

The feature is available in Squirrelmail as a plugin, but not in the other clients that you have mentioned. I dont know about Outlook. I dont use.

I checked up by sending a message from RC with read receipt flag. I opened it with Squirrel at the recipient end, and it was enabled there. But as Thomas said, the RC client does not ask for sending a receipt while opening the mail at the recipient end.

Thomas has said he will look into it and consider this as a feature request.
