Emails taking a few hours to come through

Hi everyone, first post here so excuse me if this issue has been raised before.

I have a client (which I host a website for) stating his emails are being received straight away, but 90% of emails coming through to him are taking 3 to 4 hours to receive.

Can anyone help with an answer?

This would most likely be a problem with the mail server the Roundcube connects to. You'd need to look at the mail server logs to see if you could find the reason for delays.
