I have a HTML signature, but when I go to preferences and put the HTML signature/code in identities, when I send a test email to my hotmail account, it just shows the code and not the actual HTML signature itself. Is there a way to fix this? The code works for the auto responder I have set up, but not for when I send emails. I also have 'compose HTML messages' set to 'always'.

when you put your signature in on the identities screen did you tick "HTML signature"? Also the test email you sent was that in HTML or plain text?

HTML signature is checked. The message editor is also in HTML mode.

in the signature box on the identities screen does it show the formatted sig or the html code?

It shows the plain code

Edit: Nevermind, thanks! I got it when I added a source code.
