Folders containing sent mail

Is there any way to tell RC that a certain IMAP folder contains sent mail rather than the assumption that all folders (apart from in the sent folder) contains incoming messages? I appreciate there is a Special Folder configuration under preferences, but in my IMAP folder tree I have main folders which contain 'in' and 'out' sub-folders. I need the ability to flag the Out subfolder in each case so when this is selected the 'recipient' column is displayed in place of the 'sender' column.

I had a similar issue in Thunderbird originally but then the folder flags add-on was developed and now you can tell it which folders are contain sent mail, rather than incoming. A plug-in for RC would be a great way of implementing this functionality.
