Error 400: fix for this?

I've got a customer who can get to most webpages, but when he tries to send a mail through RoundCube, he gets an Error 400: bad request. Looks like a security-related http error; is there a setting in IE that needs to be changed? Customer is using Windows XP, just updated Java.
