Lost connection to MySQL server during query

Hello,

I've mentioned on other threads that I've been experiencing severe performance issues and random errors displayed. In general, roundcube continues to function and does not log the user off, however it would be great to be able to get down to the bottom of the issues. Looking into my error logs, I see that most of the errors are a result of "Lost connection to MySQL server during query". This has happened on a very regular basis (every few minutes or so) since I upgraded to 0.3-stable. Below are some examples. Any idea what could be causing these errors?
