I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'm new to this forum and need to know how to eliminate or greatly reduce the VAST quantity of spam that comes to me through roundcube webmail.  Please help.

You would need to add a spam filter to your mail server, if you have one already you can check out the plugin repository http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Plugin_Repository for plugins to integrate it into RoundCube.
