IMAP Configuration error, gives me strange message

I've set up RC, but it isn't letting me log into my email and gives me this error message:

IMAP connect:  NOT OK(Authentication for cosmod failed (LOGIN): "a001 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed.")

what does this mean?

I am not a RC expert, but it appears as though you have a session still active according to RC. Try completely clearing out your cache/cookies/etc and logging in again. Also, do you have this problem with all user or is it isolated to just one user?
