How to backup Inbox and other folders?

SKaero

You would need to back up your mail on your mail server.

Hi,thanks but is possible from my clients when they login to application at URL to backup or just manually from server admin?

SKaero

RoundCube doesn't have a backup option so it would have to been done threw the server admin.

Which folder is at server called to do backup for mails within RoundCube?

SKaero

I don't understand what you mean, RoundCube don't back up emails, the folder with the email would depend on what mail server you are using.

toplisek

ok, I'm using Apache/Linux/PHP
Where is stored by default?

SKaero

What are you using for a mail server (hMailServer, sendmail, ext)?

Most of the linux based mail servers store the INBOX by default in /var/mail/ and the name of the box is the login name.

The only way I can think of to backup anyone's email, without server access, is to use a local email client, thunderbird, and download your email to your computer.....
