No login for some login values

Dear all,

I have sometimes problems to login in roudcube.
I've fixed my imap server to imap.free.fr, and I have a lot of email boxes with this imap server. So i tryed most of them.

It seems that when the login contains a dot in it, like mainname.lastname , i got the following error:

IMAP Error in /srv/www/htdocs/roundcubemail-0.5/program/include/rcube_imap.php (183): Login failed for admin.domain from 88.18.159.110. Unable to send command: A0004 LOGIN mainname.lastname  thepassword

(the password is of course, the real entered passeword)

When doing same login in a telnet window to my imap server, it succeeded.

No problems occurs when the login has no dot in it.

Any idea?

Can you enable imap_debug and post the log?

SOLVED.
Sorry, OpenSuse made some updates and after reboot of the server , I do not have anymore the problem. Do not know exactly why. Sorry
