Please explain, what do you mean by default?

I am guessing you are using a webhosting service that uses cPanel and also has a couple of default webmail applications (Horde? SquirrelMail?). Unless your host adds Roundcube then you can't select it in cpanel. Just install the program into a folder called email on your server and direct email users to //www.yourdomain.com/email
