Any way to disable "Sticky" double click?

I recently upgraded from 0.93 to 1.1.1, and just can't get used to the double click sticky functionality. 

I don't know what to call it, and I can't find any information about it to give a name.

In 0.93 you double clicked the header to open in full screen mode.

Now when I double click, the first click highlights and the second causes the message subject to become a sticky tooltip.  Then if I accidentally click on any folder it immediately moves it, so of course I have messages spread out across ten or twelve folders now that I have no clue what is where.

Is there any way to turn off the sticky tooltip?  And/or even better, revert to double click to open?

I keep the issue. How to return an open letter by double-clicking
