Problem with From filed in emails when display name is too big

We have users with big display names(in Greek language). When such a user sent an outgoing email, the receiver get the mail, but the "from" field of the email is broken.

So if the user with display name "ΔΟΚΙΜΑΣΤΙΚΟΣ ΧΡΗΣΤΗΣ ΔΟΚΙΜΑΣΤΙΚΟΣ" which is 31 character sent a email,  the receiver of  the email, get a email with the "From" field : ΔΟΚΙΜΑΣΤΙΚΟΣ ΧΡΗΣΤΗΣ ΔΟΚΙΜΑΣΤΙΚΟΣ <teststudent2@> which is broken.  The domain part of the email is either all cropped  or a part of it.

From our tests seem that the problem most of times (not always) occur with name biggers than 29 characters.
