deleted items keep returning help!

within Hotmail, linked from roundcube account - the deleted items keep returning.
there are red squares next to roundcube emails in the inbox but when deleted, moved to junk or marked as spam, they always return back.
unable to log into roundcube again as lost log on details, how do we find these again please if needed, but everything is administered through Hotmail.
any ideas please. getting desperate with 268 unread emails in inbox!

the little red squares means the message has been marked as deleted but not yet purged. I do not know what the function is called in Hotmail but in Roundcube its called compact. When you compact a folder messages marked as deleted will be removed. In Outlook the option is called purge so it might be something similar in Hotmail.
