How to automatically delete read mails

Hi,

Using RC 1.2.5. I am running a batch job for continuously picking up the mails that are received in a  particular mailbox. If the mails are still existing in the Inbox eith a read flag set, there gets an error . So is there any way to delete mails instantly when its read from inbox  ?

You could write a plugin do that I guess, doesn't seem very user friendly and there would be odd use cases like replying but seem like it could be done.
