Cannot see Reply messages

When someone replies to an email thread, I cannot see the message on my laptop. I can tell they've replied because there is an arrow and the message title has been underlined. I have to log in on my phone to read all my email replies. Can anyone help me fix this?!

It should like you have threaded message view enabled and you have collapsed the thread, click the allow to expand it.
