Users unable to log in

I hope this is the right place to ask this.

I just installed Roundcube for my email users, but so far I'm the only one who can log in.  I've changed my users' passwords (with their consent, of course!) trying to solve the problem, but with no luck.  Can anyone suggest a fix?  I'm sure there's some obscure setting I've missed.

what is the exact issue? whats in the roundcube error log? whats in your imap server logs about the login attempt?

Okay, pass me the Dunce cap!  I just realized the user was trying to log in with her username, not her email address.  Obviously, that leads to failure, and now that the problem has been found, I feel like a fool.
