Installed 2FA plugin (alexandregz/twofactor_gauthent), did config , doesn't work

Hi, I installed the alexandregz/twofactor_gauthenticator plugin (dev-master), configured it, added to config.inc.php but when I login there is simply no option to enable the 2FA even though in the settings->about of Roundcube it shows the plugin loaded. No errors being generated.

Roundcube version 1.6.8
PHP 8.2.20

what am I missing in how to make it work?
