Cannot display HTML emails; internal server error 500

I am running 0.2-Alpha, and have just come across a very weird problem. Whenever I try to open an email that has been composed in HTML (as opposed to plain text), the window will not open, and I see an "internal server error 500" error message. This did NOT happen when I was running 0.1RC1, only with 0.2-Alpha. I'm not sure if it is directly related to this version though.

I've tried removing the .htaccess files from both the main and config directories, and that did not fix the problem.

Any ideas?

Anything in the webserver error logs?  Could mod_security be stopping it?
