Sending message hangs on lost internet connection

When losing internet connection (which happens quite a lot here in Kenya) roundcube hangs if in the process of sending or checking mail.

In one case the message was delivered and available at the recipient but roundcube was still displaying "Sending message..."

Is there a way to break current activity to avoid having to reload page? Also, some sort of confirmation on sent complete (like gmail) would be excellent.

After reload, the sent mail is displayed in "sent" folder.

Am using google chrome which has no "stop" button.
