0.2b Global Contacts?

I have seen the posts and codes for global address books for 0.2b however they contain code for extra fields for each contact which I do not want. I have read in a few posts about code that allows you to make a contact global by changing the user_id field to 0 however I cannot find this code for 0.2b. What I want is for everyone on my server to have the same list of contacts. Any help would be appreciated.
