hi. i'm not sure if this functionality is already there but i have a mailbox that receives emails sent to numerous addresses so would find it useful to view the recipient, as well as the sender, in the inbox view. is this possible ?

This is not currently possible. To do this you would either need to create a plugin or add to the bug tracker as a feature request.
