Issues with additional skins

Hello folks, it's my first post here and let me start by stating
that I do love RoundCube, it really rocks !

Now, about my issue; I'm running RoundCube 0.5.1 and, as
I wrote it's working just fine; I loaded several plugins and
those are ok too but... I'm unable to add skins to roundcube

At first, I tried GroupVice, followed the instructions and it
worked and is working; accessing the settings I can see
it in the skin selection dropdown, then, I thought to add
some more skins, so I tried the "multi color" ones... to no
luck, even trying and retrying those skins weren't listed
into the selection dropdown and the errorlog didn't contain
any error message... not knowing how to go on, decided
to try litecube, no luck with that, either, so I gave up
and I'm now here asking for help; mind me, not willing you
to set the skins up for me it's just that I'd like some
directions to know where to look to diagnose and possibly
solve this issue

The be able to select a skin, a folder with the skin should be available in the /skins/ folder. Currently I have there 'default', 'groupvice4' and 'litecube'. So:

/skins/default/
/skins/groupvice4/
/skins/litecube/

Remove skins which are not compatible with v0.5

Hmmm... I see... but well.. while I do have the above three folders under "skins"
(i mean the right "skins" folder btw ) it sounds like RC isn't showing them in the drop down list, notice that ... your gv4 worked ok, but when I tried adding (say) litecube or even the "litecube" or "gv4alw" or even the "classicblue" folder those weren't listed in the dropdown, only the default and your groupvice did ! That's why I suspect there may be some issue with my setup and... I'll like to understand how to track (and possibly solve) it

have you checked the permissions on the groupvice4 and litecube folders are the same? the webserver must be able to read those folders.

Also make sure that the skin files are in the root skin folder. If they are nested in a second folder they won't be visible.

For example, your Litecube folder inside the skins folder the CSS files, images and templates folders at that level. Those files & folders should not be in a second folder inside Litecube.
