SMTP ERROR (-1): Connection to server failed

my roundcube email has been running fine for a year but today i can not send / forward email, it showed up the error: "SMTP ERROR (-1): Connection to server failed"

and here is the error log:

could any one help me to solve it please ??

check your smtp server is running and that there is no firewall in the way. make sure you can telnet from the webserver to the smtp server.
