Copying images in HTML mail

Hi,

is there a plugin or a running development concerning copying images in the HTML mail composing window?

I know that it is a TinyMCE issue and that it is not possible to paste binary content in a HTML text(area) with native Javascript but there are some workarounds using Flash, Java or different techniques which allows this.
I think it is quite fancy to use copy & paste (or even drag & drop) for e.g. pictures like Google Mail does it for some weeks now.

Is someone working on stuff like this? I looked for a thread in here but couldn't find anything.
