need help, unable to send messages through round cube web mail.

hello all,
am new to roundcube and i have a xampp server on my pc and and i have attempted to use roundcube with the mercury mail server.
but i am able to send emails from roundcube user account and could not get any incoming mails to my round cube account.
can any one help me to fix this issue?

have you confirmed that your mail server is working correctly and you are able to both send and recieve email? is there anything in the roundcube error log?
