Increase search options

I would like to increase the search options for an email, for example add 2M/-2M for more recent than 2 months or older than 2 months
is there some setting to change or do I have to work on the code ?

I think that best option will be adding multifield search window where anybody can add two or more searching criteria and possibility to add date range.
E.g.:

From: microsoft
Date: (from:)01.12.2022 (to:)25.03.2023
Subject: invoice
Attachement: V
Text in a name of attached file: November
 

Some time ago I tested Rainloop webmail and they have got such functionality.

There is a plugin that adds some advanced search options https://github.com/texxasrulez/advanced_search I'm not sure its still supported but you could try it and see if if offers what you need.

Our server admin can not add this plugin to Roundcube because it disappears after Roundcube update.

Maybe this plugin or something similar should be a standard part of Roundcube?
Searching options are crucial part of any email client. I think that the searching engine is the weakest part of Roundcube which is very good application.

Roundcube doesn't have any access to your server and can't change the config to enable or disable plugins.
