Adding contacts to trusted senders not working (all is save under personal )

I have this problemn where users are unable to save contacts as trusted senders.

When I user tries to add a sender it gets saved under personal..
I have looked at display preferences and it is set to allow images from trusted senders.
Also in config.inc.php I have setup $config['show_images'] = 3;

Nothing works.. Is this a bug or am i just forgetting something?

what do they have set under Preferences > Contacts > Collected addresses > Store trusted senders in?

also how are they adding the trusted sender?

Preference is set to Store trusted sender in:  Trusted Senders

They add a contact to trusted by first going to contacts and then choose Trusted Senders and hit the plus sign at the bottom.

So I did notice the user can add a contact to trusted senders via a received mail.  That contact will be added to trusted senders..

So am i correct one cannot add a trusted sender manually to the trusted senderd addressbook ?
